I saw this in [profile] fluffy_o's journal, and then in [personal profile] thandie's.

The concept:
1. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
2. Using only the first page of results, pick one image.
3. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into Big Huge Lab's Mosaic Maker to create a mosaic of the picture answers.

The questions:
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favourite food? right now?
3. What high school did you go to?
4. What is your favourite color?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. What is your favourite drink?
7. What is your dream vacation?
8. What is your favourite dessert?
9. What do you love most in life?
10. What're you doing right now?
11. What's your kink?
12. What is one word that describes you?

I like it in its entirety. Of course, there's only so much one can do while adhering to the rules, but I tried to make it a little bit balanced as to colours and shapes.

More than anything else, I am infinitely satisfied with the kink picture. What a find! I can tell you now, I searched for "homoerotic" - yeah - but notice how beautifully that kitschy religious icon (trust me to get religion and sexuality inextricably mixed together) captures all the aspects of my most favored fantasies: the Prodigal Son theme, manhandling, and the jeans-and-T-shirt-clad, suffering hottie.... Am laughing my ass off with glee over that one. In your face, god, you cranky old know-it-all!

I found this in [personal profile] chicafrom3's journal and answered "OK" to the last question, so to keep my promise, here we are.

All right, I know some of you have already answered memes here, or we know each other well enough that some of the questions are unnecessary. If that is so, you're excused if you don't want to (as if I could make you do it, anyway!)  Some of these questions I've never posed to you in other memes, though, so for those of you who can't be arsed to do the whole thing, you could choose just a few of them, and give me nice long answers! How about it? Come oooon, you know you want to just a little....

Just copy-paste the questions into a comment and answer them, there's a good flist!

I've been gone so long, I can either write an incresibly long entry about my life offline, or I can do a meme, snatched from - none other than - [personal profile] thandie.

In conclusion, what am I doing with a vagina? (I will say, though, I think this test is a little too focussed on girls being obsessed with their looks. There are other feminine traits, you know. Besides, many of the boys I know are quite concerned with their own looks as well)

[livejournal.com profile] thandie, this is your doing. Again :)

Me answering 75 questions because I'm a narcissist )

[livejournal.com profile] thandie snatched this from somebody and I snatched it from her. And I got a very similar result, how about that?

What Your Soul Really Looks Like

You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You are a very grounded, responsible, and realistic person. People may not want to hear the truth from you, but they're going to get it.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

Your near future is still unknown, and a little scary. You'll get through wild times - and you'll textually enjoy it.

For you, falling in love is all about the adventure and uncertainty. You can only fall in love with someone who keeps you guessing.

Feel like doing it? If you do, I'd like to know what you got.

This meme found in [personal profile] thandie's journal. I thought this was an ok meme. I hope someone wants to do this. If you only want to answer some of the questions, that's cool. It's all in good fun. Or if you think they're silly questions, maybe suggest better ones?

You're on my friends list. I'd like to know 27 things about you. Just copy and hit reply and paste in the comments section with answers. Thanks! You'll be surprised how much you didn't know about your friends after this! Then copy the meme and see if anyone answers you.

In answer to a meme found in the journal of [personal profile] chicafrom3  here are the results of my career matchmaking test:

1.Special Effects Technician
2.Actor
3.Dental Lab Tech
4.Gunsmith
5.Sign Maker
6.Magician
7.Comedian
8.Casting Director
9.Critic
10.Print Journalist

I was somewhat puzzled at some of those suggestions. I mean - gunsmith? You never asked if I happened to be a pacifist, did you, oh Matchmaker? *grins* And sign maker!? Please! I'd rather die not. But I did want to be an actor when I was younger, and I have been seriously considering something like no. 1 on that list ever since I started my minor in Film&TV. And I like 9 and 10, too.

Results improved to some extent when I entered my level of education. Now I got this:

1.Special Effects Technician
2.Actor
3.Comedian
4.Critic
5.Casting Director
6.Print Journalist
7.Translator
8.Musician
9.Composer
10.Market Research Analyst

Since I'm already a translator and happy with that so far, I don't think this is too far off the mark. But where did that 'comedian' idea come from and what's it still doing there? I'd hate doing stand-up, I really would. On the other hand, if I could combine 2 and 3 and be in a show like Black Books... now we're talking!

Seriously, though, for the record: I think I might actually prefer being a gunsmith to being an actor. Have you any idea what a frustrating, embarrassing, and boring job that is? I've done some amateur acting, and while I liked the end result - seeing the result on film, nicely edited, and receiving an award for it (even if it was just an internal university prize-giving) - the actual acting was not something I'd like to do on a daily basis. When you've been standing in water up to your knees for 3 hours, doing 39 takes of the same goddamn shot, and all the director can say is "That was great; let's do it one more time!" because some goddamn seagull entered the frame when it shouldn't have, then you tell me how glamorous acting is! And when you come home covered in bruises that will be hurting and spreading and changing colours for at least a month, because you had to do the 'kicking over a chair and breaking into a run and jumping over the table' shot perhaps 18 times too many, you can tell me the same thing, and I still won't believe you... And do not even get me started on the sheer horror of having to gaze lovingly at a guy you couldn't find less attractive. Or the utter awkwardness of having laughed at a crew member's joke during a break, and the next second having to pretend you're dying of cancer because the camera is rolling, while you can still hear the soft snickers of the rest of the crew because the joke really was very good.

Hmm... I suppose, if I knew how to play an instrument - any instrument at all! - and if I could read and write music, then 8 or 9 would be possibilities... I'm a bit mystified as to how they arrived at that conclusion. And no. 10? Nevah!
